Most Canadians are familiar with the proverb, “If you choose not to find joy in the snow, you will have less joy, but the same amount of snow.” Cards laid out, I’m biased. As a Canadian, I did learn to walk in the stuff. But I never outgrew it. I’ve always loved snow. I love how it sparkles in the sun on extra cold days. I love that it can be moulded into all sorts of shapes on the warmer days. And, I love the rosy-cheek, happy feeling I get from flying along on skis or adventuring through the bush with snowshoes.

This winter is particularly pretty, as fluctuating temperatures have led to widespread hoarfrost. Every inch of our outdoor world has been white and sparkly over the past couple of weeks. It is a call to action that just can’t be ignored. There seemed to be no excuse but to take my workspace outside.

And … I’m lucky enough to work with clients who also love snow 🙂

As it was a workday, we, of course, had to set goals … S.M.A.R.T. Goal #1: Locate five exceptionally cool items enhanced by hoarfrost. To stimulate creativity, productivity, and social connection. By midday. And, also: Yay! Snow day!!

Goal achieved!

*Stay tuned next week for Winter S.M.A.R.T. Goal #2 😀
